Valenth

As the Fatis Mirajin grows in size and power, its aura of malignant mirajin energy affects everything on Valenth in more profound ways.

One of the significant effects of this are aetherholes, places where mirajin has eaten away at the fabric of reality itself.
They are portals, windows to other places that also radiate mirajin. Most aetherholes lead to other aetherholes somewhere in Valenth, usually at random, while a small percentage of them provide a gateway between the waking world and the Reverie.

The vast majority of aetherholes are found far below the surface in Chimre and Mimore, within the caves and tunnels carved by boralion dragons, though it is believed that wherever the Fatis Mirajin lies must be the largest aetherhole on the planet.

When multiple aetherholes develop within an enclosed area, the result is a pocket of dreamspace.
