Charismatic and entrepreneurial, there are very few business ventures on Valenth that a chimaera has not had a hand in.

Natural shapeshifters, chimaera have both humanoid and bestial forms. As bipeds, a chimaera resembles a sturdily-built Aeneski with sharp fangs, tiny, rounded ears, talon-like feet, and dragons' tails. Tightly-spiraled horns crown their heads, and their skins are covered in fine, smooth scales.
Beast-form chimaera resemble a cross between a lion and a dragon, with large bat's wings and ears. Both genders possess manes, though males are stockier and less agile than their female counterparts.
Chimaera come in all colors, and inherit their coloration from their parents.

Chimaeras' clever minds and fondness for opulence lends them well to a mercantile way of life; the greatest testament to this being the great Sorilian Trade Empire, which every Sorilian chimaera merchant is a part of. Despite their great strength, many chimaera prefer to live as shopkeepers and tradesmen, though a fair number turn towards hiring themselves out as mercenaries or soldiers for private militia.

While chimaera wander the world to sell their wares and procure new, exotic item for their own pleasure, they are most often encountered in Dreamsong and deep beneath the rocky deserts of Lucsus, their homeland.
