Mirajin is quite literally the stuff of dreams; it existed long before it was given a name, perhaps born along with the first traces of sentient life. As long as someone, somewhere, is capable of thinking and dreaming, it exists.

Naturally, mirajin is a dormant element with an iridescent violet-blue aura, used in magics involving the mind, both conscious and subconscious, as well as chaotic magics. Pure mirajin essence is crystalline.

For millennia, Valenth's mirajin has been amplified by the Fatis Mirajin--for which the element itself was named-- slowly dispersing the dream-energy into the atmosphere of the waking world. Unnatural and malignant, this form warps everything it comes in contact with, devouring and converting vitae to continue its gradual spread across the planet.
