Valenth

One of the corporate juggernauts of Valenth, the Grand Society of Steam is a business union spanning several companies, including metalworks, coal mining, and engineering. The GSS is responsible, at least in part, for 90% of land transport in the world; they dig the fuel, they make the parts, and in many cases they oversee the construction of steam locomotives and railroads, as well as a substantial presence in steamboating.

Newcomer MIRACLE is but a drop in the ocean of the transport business-- despite miracrystal power being suitable for such things as zeppelins and automaton-driven carriages, their products beyond varani are often too expensive for the common citzen. As long as their main niche remains in portable energy, the GSS will endure their presence, albeit grudgingly and with a great deal of suspicion.
