These groups share common attributes, physical features, and goals, and often answer to one or more founders who seek to uphold House traditions in breeding, social, and living standards.
Houses may take in leupaks interested in joining them if certain prerequisites are met; joining a House typically involves both earning a House member's favor and physical transformation in some capacity, a process which the House itself will perform for the worthy.

Leupaks belonging to a House sign its name first, followed by their own; part of becoming a member is putting the collective before the self, whatever that may entail for that particular group.

Typically, a House's members function as a large family. Where rifts form, Houses split and new ones form, branching away from the ideals of the original in some manner that pleases the new founder and heads.
