Written accounts of life beyond this point are extremely rare and often indecipherable.

Spoken legends paint portraits of wild lands and the mysterious, feral, and magical beasts that ruled them, as well as the birth of today's sentient races.

Of course, all of this is mere speculation, myth and whimsy, and modern-day scientists are diligently searching for clues of Valenth's early days.
 

The Developing Ages

Written history begins here as modern sentient races began to create records in more commonly known languages and preserve them more effectively.

While many of these years hold significant events, they are largely shadowed by the Age of Steam, during which Valenth's setting takes place.

The Age of Steam is the setting of Valenth's most significant industrial revolution.

With the discovery of both steam and miracrystal power, companies and individual engineers and inventors are in a mad dash to develop technology that changes the world.

Unfortunately, modern technology is far from the only force beginning to affect Valenth on a global scale...
