the SB faction is leeching all the points.

Under the new system, you get a point toward the Somnambulists no matter what you feed. However, you also get a point toward another faction, too. The SP is not leeching anything away, you're still going to get points for however many feeds you make of Tainted foods--as I understand it. :) It's just you also get another point towards the SP.

I think it makes sense, because the SP has no bias toward anybody. As a neutral faction, you can therefore feed anything and be supporting it.

I wish there was lore plot RPing.

You could always start an RP for that yourself. :)


As for how to do it--well, just do it. It builds up. I've adopted my own faction pets, and I'm over 4,000 with the SRO on my alt account. It's possible. You'll get there!

Personally I'm not really thrilled with the new faction food values the way they are now. I don't know how people are getting 10k + in rep! Yes, I fed Ling Da's thread and also my own SRO thread and that only gives me around 1800-1900 SRO rep per day(After feeding 8000+ pets!). If you know how people are already getting faction pets PM me and let me know, because I will never get one in my lifetime. :(

It's honestly not that hard. I've joined SRO right after new faction system was launched, fed back peoples feeding my pets as normal, went 2 day in a row on alt hunting topics (they are very good for fast points gathering) and yesterday I had the needed points.
Today I've started gathering Somnambulists rep from my second account and right now I have more than 3000 faction points.
Joy of faction pets comes from working for them. And even if you don't want to spend a lot of time clicking pets right now you'll still get them eventually. Just continue feeding and sooner or later you'll get there.

I am not sure where I might have made an understanding mistake - I thought Somnambulists get a rep point from every food they feed (refering to the sheet), but this is not true - I just fed about 800 different rigged pets and I got far less rep points. Did it change to a special food inbetween?

I'm starting to think that the Wyrm Fruit is the weakest for obtaining SRO rep. I can feed something like 100 pets, and only get 40 rep back when all of them are rigged to it. The numbers aren't exact, but every time I feed a group rigged to that food, I always get far less reputation than the amount of pets I fed. I'm 100% certain I haven't fed those groups before, either.

Unfortunately, the majority of mass feed threads that I find use the Wyrm Fruit as the Tainted food of choice. XD

Well, I liked interacting with the NPCs. I loved it when Nef was chatting with Charlie the quaggy in "Delicacies of the Mind". And I kinda suck and making RPs.

Dang! 31 points with the SRO! I wish there was a way to make it go down!

I spend most of my days feeding and I thought I should do something constructive with it. So after finding 500 adoptables rigged for each of the foods available I set to recording the reputation points changed after each set. After feeding each food to the 500 individual and unique adoptables and recording the resultant reputation points gained after each set, I tabulated the following.

How do we know that? I can see the Firestarters being arrogant enough to think natural foods aren't good enough for them.

Just as a note-- natural feeds dropping Firestarters rep is a glitch, and will be fixed soon. :)

I actually think all the points on that chart are a third less than the chart says. I was feeding the vital pets on a thread on a side account and it took roughly 30,000 pets to hit 10,000 reputation points. (Give or take some estimated numbers). They might have reduced the point output because of all the shiny hunts going on. (Or maybe it's because I don't have a head for math ^_^; )

On a similar note, to anyone having trouble with reputation points I highly recommend this thread: http://valenth.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=24595 With so many people posting shiny hunts here it's possible to get all the reputation points you'd need from this thread alone. Serious. Totally speaking from personal experience here.
